Private investigator
Ell Whitt
She notices what people leave out.
The woman
Intelligent. Abrasive.
Funny. Flawed.
Ell is observant, hard-edged and professionally capable. Her psychology training and work as a private investigator have taught her to listen carefully: to interviews, records, patterns, and the ways people justify themselves.
Sometimes there are dreams. Impressions. Sensory fragments. Their meaning is less certain.
Not everything is explained.
Not everything should be.
Home
Monks Cottage
Old stone. Modern life. Too many books. A German Shepherd called Jerry Lee. And things Ell has never quite decided whether she believes in.
